    Nous avons trouve au Vietnam des affiches de la couverture de Tintin au Vietnam, et nous nous sommes demandes d'ou cela sortait, ne le connaissant pas... Il fait partie d'une liste d'editions pirates, au meme titre que celui au Cambodge par exemple... Au dire de notre ami canadien, qui l'a achete, bien qu'expendieux, afin d'agremente sa collection, on retrouve nos heros tel que Trifon dans un bordel, Haddock alcoolique... A noter qu'il est interdit de le rentrer sur le territoire francais.

"Tintin au Tibet chinois" écoulé à 10.000 exemplaires avant son retrait

"Parfois les adaptations ont été rendues nécessaires afin de ne pas froisser les susceptibilités nationales. Ainsi l’ensemble des aventures de Tintin, à l’exception de "Tintin au pays des Soviets", jugé anti-communiste, a été édité en Chine. L’album le plus populaire est évidemment "Le Lotus Bleu" qui est toujours le premier épuisé dans les librairies chinoises. La fille de Tchang est d’ailleurs venue témoigner, à la télévision nationale, de l’amitié entre son père et Hergé. Cependant dans cette aventure de Tintin en Chine, plusieurs passages ont été écourtés ou remaniés : le passage indiquant que les Chinois passent leur temps à inventer des supplices a disparu ; celui sur les bébés chinois que l’on jette à l’eau dès leur naissance est justifié par un "parce qu’on ne peut les nourrir" ; enfin le discours de Tintin se conclut par un "Les occidentaux connaissent mal la Chine, ils connaissent mal le peuple chinois" absent de la version française.
Toujours en Chine, la version de "Tintin au Tibet", coéditée par Casterman et un éditeur local, a de son côté été à l’origine d’un grave incident en 2001 lors de sa sortie. L’album avait été titré "Tintin au Tibet chinois" ce que Fanny Rodwell, la veuve d’Hergé, aurait trouvé d’autant plus inadmissible qu’elle est une amie personnelle du Dalaï Lama et n’a jamais caché sa sympathie pour le peuple tibétain opprimé. Rappelons que le Tibet a été envahi par la Chine en 1949 et qu’il est depuis considéré comme une région autonome chinoise. Après tractations, tout a fini par rentrer dans l’ordre, l’éditeur chinois ayant accepté de supprimer l’adjectif conflictuel. 10.000 exemplaires de "Tintin au Tibet chinois" avaient cependant déjà été commercialisés... Avis aux collectionneurs !

Tintin mondialement piraté

Suppression de la couleur et contour hésitant pour la version chinoise pirate du "Crabe aux pinces d’or"

C’est en Chine également que l’on trouve un grand nombre d’éditions pirates du petit reporter belge, même si le Vietnam, la Malaisie ou la Turquie ont également bien fait tourner les rotatives ! En Chine, bien avant la parution des albums officiels (en mai 2001), Tintin y était déjà populaire grâce à eux. Les albums pirates sont diffusés surtout au format 12 cm x 9cm mais aussi en 12,5x18. La couleur a disparu et l’impression est médiocre (noirs pas vraiment noirs et contours hésitants). Lire aussi le dossier très complet de Pierre Justo sur l’histoire des éditions de Tintin en Chine). Aujourd’hui, la piraterie a diminué mais n’a pas disparu pour autant, les albums officiels restant chers (25 yuans l’album, soit environ 2,5 euros) pour le marché local. Mais avec déjà près de 600.000 albums de Tintin vendus sur le marché chinois en 2002, Casterman peut sourire.
Un sourire d’autant plus large que partout dans le monde, Tintin fait vendre. L’éditeur écoulerait chaque année pas moins d’un million d’albums de Tintin, qui compteraient pour 20% de son chiffre d’affaires. Avec plus d’une cinquantaine de langues étrangères et régionales disponibles, les tintinophiles acharnés, eux, n’ont pas fini de compléter leur collection..."
